Security Officer Patrol Detail

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a utilities location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and support access control procedures for personnel, visitors, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with site guidelines.
• Observe utility infrastructure and adjacent work areas for conditions that may require attention, report maintenance or security-related issues, and support orderly operations during routine and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
