Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, exterior walkways, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior within the location.
• Support loss prevention awareness by reporting unusual activity, assisting with access control practices, and communicating with management and/or local authorities when needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.
