About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns, and support access awareness throughout the site. In this people-first role, you will deliver outstanding customer service, communicate with professionalism, and contribute to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity every day.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee movement to help deter unauthorized entry and support location rules and daily operations.
- Communicate with site contacts, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, medical-related calls for assistance, and/or other security-related concerns as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
