Security Officer - Badge Check Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech and telecommunications location in Sacramento, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service and communication while working with a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and help to document observations according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, exterior areas, and perimeter access points, to help identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report maintenance, access control, and/or suspicious activity issues to the appropriate contact.
• Support a professional environment at a technology-focused location by providing clear directions, assisting with visitor questions, and communicating policy-related information as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A current guard card and/or license is preferred.

$23.00 / Hour

• Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sunday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
