About the role
As a Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail location in Irvine, CA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, observe and report concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors and staff. You will contribute through teamwork, reliable communication, agility, innovation, and integrity while supporting a welcoming environment that puts people first.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and retail guests by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and document security-related activity according to location procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail areas, common spaces, parking facilities, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for suspicious behavior, property concerns, and access issues, and report findings through the appropriate channels.
- Assist with access control, tenant requests, and emergency notifications while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.50 / hour
