Security Officer Patrol Access Control

Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Access Control in Salt Lake City, UT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, employee entrances, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site policies, and report unusual conditions or incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while helping to deter unauthorized access and property loss.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
