Security Officer Patrol Access Control

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a financial institution location in Buena Park, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while helping address security-related concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
- Assist with maintaining a professional environment by communicating clearly with staff and visitors and escalating security-related concerns through proper channels.
Requirements
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Guard card/license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$19.05 / hour
Schedule
- Friday: 05:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 04:00 PM - 09:00 PM
- Sunday: 04:00 PM - 09:00 PM
