About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol Access Assistant in Billerica, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This unarmed role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service and communication to staff, patients, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter zones, to identify and report security-related concerns promptly.
• Monitor entry and exit points, deter unauthorized access, and support visitor management practices in accordance with location policies.
• Support a healthcare-focused environment by observing for disruptions, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and reporting maintenance, hazard, or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and locality and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.

Pay

$19.00 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
