Security Officer Patrol Assistant

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access awareness and strong communication with staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, offices, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Maintain a visible presence, assist with directional inquiries, and communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and public officials during routine and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Licenses: Valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
