How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities for an educational location.
- Monitor visitor access, check in students, staff, guests, and/or vendors, and help to direct individuals according to front desk protocols and location guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Answer phones, manage front desk communications, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and/or records related to daily activity and visitor traffic.
- Help to support a professional atmosphere by monitoring the lobby and entry area, addressing unusual activity, and following established procedures for access control and incident documentation.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
