Security Officer Part Time Vehicle Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government education location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized persons or unusual conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
