Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Rounds

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or hazards.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, visitor direction, and compliance with location protocols.
• Support daily operations by reporting maintenance issues, assisting with routine inquiries, and maintaining a visible presence to help deter unwanted activity.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement for unarmed roles: 18 years old.
• Minimum age requirement for armed roles: 21 years old.

Skills

• Computer skills (preferred).
• Guard card/license (preferred).
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
