About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Talladega, AL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and provide professional customer service. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors while using technology to document activities and report concerns.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to facility staff, visitors, and authorized personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, building exteriors, entrances, perimeter locations, and parking areas to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation; communicate observations and concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Pay
$14.34 / hour
Schedule
- Friday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
- Saturday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
