Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Reporting

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Ellenwood, GA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture. Through teamwork and integrity, you will help protect people, property, and operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the distribution facility, parking areas, loading docks, trailer yards, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
- Document patrols, incidents, access concerns, and other security-related activities through accurate reports and required logs.
Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Have X-ray screening experience (preferred).
- Have customer service experience (preferred).
- Have loss prevention experience (preferred).
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
