Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Position

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facilities, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with location procedures, assisting with directions, wayfinding, and access-control processes as assigned.
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
