What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, fuel dispensing areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor customer and employee activity, access points, and exterior areas, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
Minimum Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
