Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Operations

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and the opportunity to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will monitor and patrol a logistics and distribution location, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, conduct routine patrols, report observations, and provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations calmly, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, parking areas, entry and exit points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe vehicle, visitor, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity through required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Compliance with state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be necessary prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.70 per hour.
