Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requests for assistance, disturbances, and access-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents and support a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
• Monitor access points and support campus entry procedures in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to campus contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements as per state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR.
