About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to routine concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, patient-related disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, directions, and adherence to facility policies while maintaining a professional presence.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 21+ years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
