Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Observation

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location in Durham, NC, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication to patients, visitors, and staff. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule, allowing you to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report security-related concerns, hazards, and unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site policies, assisting with directions and maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Saturday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
