Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Detection

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location in San Francisco, CA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public at a government transportation location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, offices, and surrounding perimeters to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor directions and transit-related inquiries, and help maintain orderly conditions at assigned locations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
