Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Detection

About the Role

This role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour
• Job Schedule: DayTime Fri 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to museum visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of museum galleries, public spaces, offices, loading areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Assist with access control, visitor screening procedures, and monitoring of restricted areas in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
