Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Field Notes

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech, Media, and Telecom. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident reports in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly environment by observing and reporting hazards, equipment issues, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.32 per hour.
