Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol - Day Hours

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location in Edina, MN, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for guests and team members. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity to help deter theft, unauthorized access, and other security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$22.30 / hour

Schedule

• Friday: 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Saturday: 10:00 AM - 08:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM - 06:00 PM
