As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and assist students, staff, and visitors with professionalism. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, campus concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and assist with directing visitors in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs for incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
