Security Officer Part Time Unarmed First Aid Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location in Houston, TX, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate clearly, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government aviation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, public spaces, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation, communicate observations to supervisors, and support a professional environment for all visitors and staff.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.97 / hour

Schedule

• Wednesday: 04:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
