Security Officer - Part Time Unarmed Driver Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology data center location in Sterling, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to site leadership and appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify irregular conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and document access activity, visitor and contractor entry, deliveries, and site conditions in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation; support coordination with emergency responders when directed.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
