Security Officer Part Time Unarmed

About the Role

As a Security Officer in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, verify credentials when required, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state and/or local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
