As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a behavioral health location, helping to deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving individuals who may be experiencing behavioral health concerns.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the location and perimeter, observing and reporting unusual conditions or activities.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and policy violations by monitoring entrances, common areas, and other assigned locations.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Requirements

• At least three years of security-related, law enforcement, military police, or military experience.
• Valid driver’s license (required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

$22.00 per hour.

• Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
