Security Officer Part Time Unarmed

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail distribution center in Savannah, GA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, perimeter, and exterior grounds to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and check credentials for employees, contractors, vendors, and drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
• Document daily activities, patrol observations, incidents, and policy violations in accurate written reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Pay

$16.26 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
