About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Independence, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, monitor assigned areas, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, employee entrances, trailer yards, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and interactions accurately in required reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
