About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Alarm Verification Security Officer in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Healthcare. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a healthcare technology location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and emergency responders, escalating security-related concerns according to site procedures.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
