As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. You will maintain a visible presence, conduct routine patrols, document security-related observations, and help support a welcoming environment.
Position Type: Part Time
Pay Rate: $15.25 / Hour
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor authorization, issue or collect credentials as directed, and maintain accurate entry and departure records.
- Control access to production, storage, loading, and administrative areas in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, business areas, loading locations, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet. This includes navigating operating systems (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android), utilizing software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace), accessing and managing email accounts, and conducting online research and utilizing web-based tools.
- Customer service experience, including engaging with customers in a professional and courteous manner, resolving customer inquiries and complaints effectively, demonstrating strong communication skills both verbal and written, and working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
- At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
