Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access when required, and assist with directing visitors and/or deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with site contacts, and completing required reports related to patrol activity, incidents, and/or security-related observations.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Licenses and certifications: Valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

• Communication and report writing skills.
