Security Officer Part Time Reception Security

About the role

As a Part-Time Reception Security Officer in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Front Desk Security Professional, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, and support a professional, secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional, welcoming front-desk presence for employees, visitors, vendors, and other guests at a financial institution location.
• Verify visitor access in accordance with site-specific procedures, maintain visitor records, issue temporary credentials, and direct guests to appropriate contacts or areas.
• Monitor entry activity, access-control systems, alarms, cameras, and communications equipment, reporting unusual or unauthorized activity according to established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and assist with emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and confidentiality expectations for a financial services environment.

Requirements

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
