Security Officer Part Time Patrol Tablet Reporting

About the role

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping maintain a secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout technology-focused office, laboratory, and/or manufacturing areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, and access points.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation.
• Help to deter unauthorized activity by observing conditions, reporting unusual occurrences, and communicating professionally with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badges is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Day shift: Saturday and Sunday
• 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM
