Security Officer Part Time Patrol Shift

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of platforms, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic public areas, assisting with visitor directions, crowd awareness, and reporting suspicious behavior and/or unattended items according to site protocols.
• Support Allied Universal and site personnel during routine operations, special events, and/or service disruptions by following post orders and relaying important information in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
