About the role

Part‑time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Officer) supporting a commercial real estate location in Arlington, VA. Requires an active DoD Secret Clearance. Offers flexibility to build your own schedule and claim additional shifts via the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related policies.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor and contractor authorization as required, and maintain accurate logs and reports of daily activities and incidents.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Assist with maintaining an orderly professional environment by providing directions, answering questions, and reporting observed conditions to property management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• At least two years of security‑related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Minimum age 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law.
• Valid driver’s license required only for driving positions.

$27.39 per hour

Part‑time schedule: Saturday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Sunday 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
