Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location in Detroit, MI, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and assist tenants, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. This part-time, driving position requires a valid driver’s license and offers a flexible schedule through our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and/or property management personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial property buildings, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$18.50 / Hour

Schedule

• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
