Security Officer Part Time Patrol Driver

About the Role

As a Part-Time Security Officer Route Driver in New Bern, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial. This role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, performing routine driving patrols, and maintaining visibility to deter security-related incidents. You will support daily operations through communication, customer service, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, documenting observations and reporting security concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations.
• Support site operations by communicating with supervisors, maintaining accurate logs, and assisting with security checks of gates, doors, and restricted areas.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Pay

$16.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sunday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
