Security Officer - Part Time Patrol CPR Assistance

About the role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Part‑Time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer in Ashburn, VA to serve and safeguard clients in technology, media, telecom, and other industries. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, providing outstanding customer service, and using technology to document and report security‑related activity. Position type: Part Time.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and report relevant information according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain a professional presence while helping to deter unauthorized access and supporting a positive environment for personnel and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Guard card or license – preferred.
• CPR certification – preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lb – preferred.
• Customer service experience – preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet – preferred.
• Successful background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.44 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Wednesday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM; Friday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
