Security Officer Part Time Patrol Communications

About the role
As a Part-Time Security Officer in Montgomery, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Commercial Real Estate. This role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, common areas, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate activity reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Note: This site has limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
