Security Officer Part Time Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, public access areas, offices, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by documenting incidents, completing activity reports, and communicating with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.

Requirements

• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years old for armed roles.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Customer service experience.
• Security license (state, county, or city issued).
