Security Officer Part Time Patrol

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Garner, NC, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, assist with access control, and respond to security-related incidents. You will remain visible to help deter concerns while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, perimeter, parking areas, and other assigned locations to help identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or electronic security-related systems in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts regarding incidents, observations, and operational needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• X-Ray screening experience.
• Customer service experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Alarm panel experience.

Pay

$18.36 / hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
