What You'll Do
- Provide customer service at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe visitor and staff activity, and/or report maintenance, operational, or security-related concerns according to post instructions.
- Complete routine reports and communicate clearly with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency response personnel regarding incidents, observations, and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
