Security Officer Part Time Patrol

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, public areas, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the location, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, suspicious behavior, and/or unauthorized access in accordance with site protocols.
• Assist with crowd management, directional support, and general public assistance during daily operations, special events, service disruptions, and/or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
