About the role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol in Fishkill, NY, you’ll have a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with income stability and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Pay
$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Schedule
- Fixed anchor shift with a six-month commitment
- Daytime: Saturday, 12:30 PM - 06:00 PM
- Option to pick up extra shifts through the Claim-A-Shift program
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to store management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Assist with access control, visitor direction, and maintaining a professional presence at the retail location.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
