Security Officer Part Time Patrol Agent

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help to deter disruptions, assist with directional support, and address security-related issues in accordance with post instructions.
- Support loss prevention awareness by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following site policies related to alarms, trespassing, and after-hours access.
Requirements
- 2 or more years of security-related experience are required.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies.
- Strong observational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
