Security Officer Part Time Patrol Agent

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries, including cultural institutions, you will join a team that contributes positively to the communities and customers we serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting security-related matters to site leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout galleries, public areas, entrances, administrative spaces, and the exterior perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, support entry and exit procedures, and assist with crowd flow during exhibitions, special events, and high-traffic periods.
• Help protect artwork, exhibits, and property by observing visitor activity, following post orders, and communicating potential security-related issues promptly and professionally.

Requirements

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
