Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access

About the role

As a Security Officer Part Time Patrol Access in Palo Alto, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support orderly operations, assist with access-related concerns, and document security-related observations.
• Communicate with site contacts, store personnel, and/or local responders when needed to help address customer service concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues.

Requirements

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license preferred.
• Possess access control and/or badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Possession of a guard card or license.
• Possession of access control and/or badge experience.
• Age 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
